POROUS BASE FOR DRESSING MEANS Russian patent published in 2020 - IPC A61F13/00 A61L15/42

Abstract RU 2717312 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to dressing based on polymer coatings. What is presented is a porous base for a dressing agent, made in the form of a polymer film with thickness of 8–25 mcm from a biocompatible optically transparent polymer with through pores, characterized by volume porosity within 5–15 %. Initial polymer film used is a material with a modulus of elasticity of not less than 2 GPa, an ultimate breaking strength of not less than 150 MPa, a glass transition temperature of not lower than 80 °C, moisture absorption of not more than 1 %. Pores made in polymer film are characterized by bubble point by ethanol of not less than 0.10 MPa. Also disclosed is a method of producing a porous base for a dressing comprising: selecting a polymer film from known biocompatible optically transparent polymers; forming through pores by irradiating the film with accelerated heavy ions followed by chemical etching; produced porous film is checked by scanning electron microscopy and bubble point method. Radiation is carried out by accelerated ions with atomic number from 18 to 54 and energies from 1 to 3 MeV/u. After inspection, porous films with volumetric porosity of 5–15 % and ethanol bubble point of not less than 0.10 MPa are used as dressings.

EFFECT: creation of a porous base for the dressing agent, which does not change its barrier and transport properties under the action of mechanical and thermal factors and is tightly attached to the wound surface with possibility of uniform penetration of moisture, water-soluble substances and gases through it, and enables visually monitor processes occurring in the wound; imparting barrier properties to the porous base, which prevent penetration of microorganisms into the wound.
