FIELD: nanotechnology.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of micro - and nanotechnology, and can be used to create metal substrates with conical spikes. The essence of the invention: the method of production of metal replica of conical shape based on polymeric templates is that first a polymeric template is produced using ion-track technology by irradiation of the polymeric film and creation of blind conical pores, then a contact metal layer is applied on one surface of the polymeric template by method of thermal spraying, and then a controlled deposition of metal in micro or nano-sized pores of the polymeric template is performed, followed by chemical dissolution of the polymeric template is performed.

EFFECT: new method of creating on a metal substrate of assemblies of freestanding nano- or micro-sized spikes from different metals with a given surface density, size and shape of the spikes in the process of controlled cathodic electrodeposition of metals from corresponding electrolytic solutions is developed.
