FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to aluminium alloys of 7xxx series and can be used in automotive, transport, electrical and aerospace industry. Aluminium alloy contains about 4–15 wt. % Zn, 0.1–3.5 wt. % Cu, 1.0–4.0 wt. % Mg, 0.05–0.50 wt. % Fe, 0.05–0.30 wt. % Si, 0.05–0.25 wt. % Zr, up to 0.25 wt. % Mn, up to 0.20 wt. % Cr, up to 0.15 wt. % Ti and up to 0.15 wt. % impurities, the rest is aluminium and has maximum depth of corrosive ulcers less than 40 microns.
EFFECT: methods of producing a metal thin sheet from said alloys include casting aluminium alloys to form an ingot, homogenising the ingot, hot rolling the ingot to produce a hot strip and cold rolling the hot strip to a thin metal sheet of final thickness.
