SUBSTANCE: invention relates to composite materials for preservation of environment, for medicine and for pharmacology. In production of porous nanocomposite silicon granules silicon nanopowder is used, and its suspension is prepared by mixing said powder with silica sol, obtained by acid hydrolysis of tetraethoxysilane, pre-diluted aqueous solution of surfactant cetyltrimethylammonium bromide, after which obtained granules are washed and subjected to thermal treatment at 500–900 °C.

EFFECT: obtaining silicon granules with mesoporosity (pores with size of 2–50 nm), high specific surface area (more than 120 m2/g) and open porosity of more than 40 %.
