FIELD: measuring equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in the internal combustion engines fuel supply systems. Disclosed are methods and systems for reliable determination of composition of antiknock liquid with the help of sensors already available in engine system. Oxygen sensor in suction air is used to estimate content of water and alcohol in antiknock fluid directly injected into engine cylinder in case abnormal combustion is indicated. Change in pumping current of oxygen sensor caused by water content in antiknock liquid is different from change of pumping current of oxygen sensor caused by alcohol content in antiknock liquid, with introduction of correction for distorting effects of dilutors of sucked air on change of pumping current.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of antiknock liquid use for engine knock suppression.
