SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy and can be used for cast iron recovery with application of melt vortex mixing. Cast iron is placed in an induction furnace and heated to a molten state to form liquid cast iron, liquid cast iron is mixed in the centre to form a vortex, in which the ratio of height to diameter is 0.5–2.5, wherein stirring is not stopped, iron-containing minerals are blown into vortex centre, reducing agent and slag-forming components crushed and mixed with weight ratio of 1:(0.1–0.15):(0.25–0.4), with reduction reaction, at that, after production of liquid iron and slag mixing is stopped with simultaneous formation of off-gas, liquid cast iron and slag are removed in layers, and exhaust gas is released after treatment.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to create efficient technology of cast iron incomplete production, to increase degree of reduction of iron-containing minerals more than 95,5 %, at that percentage of content of iron in slag will be less than 0,35 % by weight.
