FIELD: engine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in fuel management systems for internal combustion engines. In one example, the method may involve operation of a dual fuel injection system with injection of at least metered minimum amount of fuel into inlet channels in a wide range of engine operating conditions even when said conditions change. Accordingly, amount of fuel injected by direct injection is controlled.
EFFECT: disclosed are methods and systems for reducing formation of hot fuel vapors in fuel injection rail into intake channels and, thus, reducing fuel supply errors.
