FIELD: transportation.
SUBSTANCE: disclosed are methods and systems for diagnosing whether active engine supports are configured to isolate engine vibration from vehicle cabin and chassis in required manner. In one example of the method, degradation of active engine support is determined by excitation of deteriorated combustion events in a predetermined engine cylinder and said active engine support is operated in several modes, wherein the determination is made based on the vehicle chassis vibration value in each of the modes. Due to tracking of chassis vibrations depending on excited events of deteriorated combustion, as well as in connection with control of active engine supports in several modes may indicate whether active engine supports function as required.
EFFECT: technical result is the creation of a diagnostic system which enables to periodically determine whether one or more active engine supports in a vehicle function in a required manner so that low noise, vibration and sharpening phenomena can be reduced.
