SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method and devices for monitoring cargo in a container. Container cargo control method includes: classification of one or more fragments of digitized image, wherein the digitized image is created by a control system configured to monitor the container by passing radiation from the radiation source to the radiation detector through the container, where the classification comprises: extracting one or more texture descriptors (V, P) of the fragment and classifying the fragment by comparing one or more extracted texture descriptors (V, P) of the fragment with corresponding one or more reference texture descriptors (Vr, Wr, Pr) relating to corresponding one or more classes of reference types of goods, wherein one or more reference texture descriptors (Vr, Wr, Pr) are extracted from one or more reference images of one or more reference commodity types.
EFFECT: technical result is higher accuracy of cargo classification in container.
