FIELD: digital pathology.
SUBSTANCE: in order to provide extended use of available radiation imaging, there is scanner (10) for digital pathology, which comprises radiation arrangement (12), which comprises lighting unit (40) with a light source, a sample receiving device (14), optical (16) arrangement and sensor unit (18). Light source (20) provides electromagnetic radiation (22) for irradiating a sample received by the sample receiving device. Optical arrangement contains at least one of the group consisting of: lens (24) and filter (26), which are arranged between the sample receiving device and the sensor unit. Optical arrangement is configured for mode of transmission lighting for scanning in light field mode, in which light from the lighting unit is transmitted through a sample held on sample receiving device (14), and then directly to sensor unit, which is configured to provide image data of irradiated sample. Also provided is arrangement (28) of the lenses, which comprises at least one lens array (30) arranged between the source and the sample receiving device. At least one lens array comprises a plurality of linear cylindrical lenses (32), which modulate electromagnetic radiation from the source such that in the plane of the object, the radiation distribution pattern (34) is generated with the plurality of first portions of the amplified radiation and the plurality of second portions of the weak radiation.
EFFECT: disclosed is scanning illumination for digital pathology.
