FIELD: microscopy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to structured illumination microscopy imaging systems. The system comprises a first optical arm containing a first light emitter for emitting light and a first splitter providing the projection of the first plurality of stripes onto the sample plane, a second optical arm containing a second light emitter for emitting light and a second beam splitter providing a second plurality of stripes projecting onto the sample plane, and an optical element for combining the optical path of the first arm and the second arm. The specified optical element for combining the optical path of the first plurality of strips and the second plurality of stripes comprises a mirror with holes configured to reflect light diffracted by the first diffraction grating, and the holes are configured to transmit at least first order light diffracted by the second diffraction grating.
EFFECT: invention improves the quality of the image.
