FIELD: data processing.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to encoding. Video decoder selects initial affine block. Initial affine block is an affine-coded unit which is spatially adjacent to the current block. Video decoder extrapolates motion vectors of reference points of the initial affine block in order to determine motion vector predictors for control points of the current block. Video decoder inserts a set of affine MVPs into the list of candidate sets of affine motion vector predictors (MVP), which includes motion vector predictors for control points of the current block. Video decoder also determines, based on the index signalled in the bit stream, the selected set of affine MVPs in the list of affinity candidate MVP candidate sets. Video decoder receives from the bit stream motion vector difference (MVD), which indicate differences between the motion vectors of the control points of the current block and the motion vector predictors in the selected set of affine MVP.
EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of coding efficiency.
