SUBSTANCE: invention relates to video coding. Method of processing video data includes dividing the current block of video data into a plurality of sub-blocks for deriving motion information of the current block, wherein the motion information indicates movement of the current block relative to the reference video data. Method also includes outputting, separately for each corresponding sub-block of a plurality of sub-blocks, motion information, comprising performing a motion search for a first set of reference data, which corresponds to a second set of reference data outside each corresponding sub-block. Method also includes decoding a plurality of sub-blocks based on the derived motion information and without decoding syntax elements which represent movement information.
EFFECT: technical result is possibility of driving information output for current unit without motion information, which is signalled in coded bit stream.
