SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely, to dentistry. Dental orthopantomogram is performed. X-ray density is determined by Trophy 2000 graphic editor. If the X-ray density is from 750 to 900 HU, a high degree of ripening and mineralization of tooth enamel is stated. If the value is from 600 to 749 HU, the average ripening and mineralization of enamel is stated. If the value ranges from 450 to 599 HU, a low level of ripening and mineralization of enamel is observed, which is encountered in unfinished amelogenesis. If the value is less than 449 HU, an extremely low ripening and enamel mineralization rate is observed, which is observed in imperfect amelogenesis.

EFFECT: method increases accuracy and objectivity of determining degree of maturation and mineralization of tooth enamel.
