FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, dentistry, and can be used to determine the level of resistance and maturity of human tooth enamel in order to quantify the degree of maturation and mineralization of tooth enamel according to the morphological picture of the mineral component and determine predisposition to the carious process. Atraumatic tooth extraction is performed for medical reasons. Next, the preparation of the enamel slices is carried out, brought with the help of grinding and polishing wheels to the 14th purity class. After that, the slices are cooled in distilled water, dried using a propane burner at a temperature of 36°C, the surface is etched with 37% orthophosphoric acid with final washing under a jet of distilled water. Then the resulting sample is placed in the field of view of 100×100 nm of the inverted microscope Jeol JCM-5700 with a 1000-time magnification, where in the presence of heptahedral enamel prisms in 60-70% of the cases, hexahedral in 25-35%, pentahedral in 0-5% of cases, it can be concluded about a high level of maturity of the mineral component and a low level of susceptibility to the carious process, in this case, it is recommended to be monitored by a dentist at least 1 time a year. In the presence of heptahedral enamel prisms in 30-40% of the cases, hexahedral in 40-50%, pentahedral in 10-30% of the cases, it can be concluded about the average level of packaging of the mineral component and a questionable level of susceptibility to the carious process, in this case, it is recommended to see the dentist at least once every 6 months. In the presence of heptahedral enamel prisms in 20-30% of the cases, hexahedral in 30-40%, pentahedral in 30-50% of cases, it can be concluded that the level of packaging of the mineral component is low and the susceptibility to the carious process is high, in this case, it is recommended to see the dentist at least once every 4 months.
EFFECT: method, by quantifying the degree of maturation and mineralization of tooth enamel according to the morphological picture of the mineral component, makes it possible to increase the accuracy and objectivity of determining the degree of maturity, resistance of human tooth enamel and predisposition to the carious process.
