SUBSTANCE: invention relates to dentistry, and can be used to assess the mineralization and maturation of tooth enamel. Computed tomography is performed with the help of Planmeca apparatus with the determination of the radiological density of the tooth enamel in the region of the apex of the tubercle part. When the value of the x-ray density of the enamel in the region of the apex of the tubercle part is from 1,710 to 2,030 HU, a conclusion is made about a high degree of mineralization and maturation of the tooth enamel. At a value from 1,500 to 1,709 HU, a conclusion is made about a good level of mineralization and maturation of the tooth enamel. With a value from 1,130 to 1,499 HU, a conclusion is made about a low level of mineralization and maturation of the tooth enamel. With a value from 820 to 1,129 HU, a conclusion is made about an extremely low level of mineralization and maturation of the tooth enamel.

EFFECT: method provides an objective determination of the degree of maturation and mineralization of the tooth enamel using computed tomography by determining the radiographic density of the enamel in the region of the apex of the tubercle part.
