FIELD: smoking accessories.

SUBSTANCE: method of generating aerosol from a substrate for generating an aerosol using an aerosol generation device, the device comprising a first heat source configured to use, while using, heating and not burning a first portion of the aerosol generation substrate, and a second heat source configured to, while using, heating and not burning a second portion of the aerosol generation substrate. At that, substrate for aerosol generation contains first and second sections, which have essentially the same composition, and/or aerosol generation substrate contains first and second sections and between these sections there is no physical separation. Device also has a mouth end and a far end, and the first section of the substrate for aerosol generation is located closer to the mouthpiece end of the device compared to the second area of the substrate for aerosol generation. Method includes the following steps: heating substrate for aerosol generation in aerosol generation device, so that temperature profile of first section of substrate for aerosol generation during heating differs from temperature profile of second section of substrate for aerosol generation, in which the first heat source begins to heat the substrate for aerosol generation before the second heat source, and when the temperature of the aerosol generation portion reaches a value greater than 150 °C during the session, it remains greater than 150 °C for the session residue.
