Abstract RU 2718614 C2

FIELD: chemistry; construction.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to compositions of foams for producing rigid polyurethane foams and a method for production thereof. Foam composition contains a polyol composition containing an amine-initiated polyol ranging from 10 percent to 20 percent of the total weight of the polyol composition and an additional polyol ranging from 80 percent to 90 percent of the total weight of the polyol composition, wherein said additional polyol contains a trifunctional polyol of less than 10 % of the total weight of the polyol composition, wherein the amine-initiated polyol has an average hydroxyl number of from 200 to 850; polyisocyanate, wherein foam composition has isocyanate number in range from 70 to 500; foaming agent; trimerisation catalyst; a foaming catalyst comprising pentamethyl-diethylenetriamine; and a gelation catalyst containing dimethylcyclohexylamine. Combination of the foaming catalyst and the gelling catalyst ranges from 0.5 % to 1.5 % of the total weight of the polyol composition. Foaming catalyst ranges from 60 percent to 100 percent of the total weight of the foaming catalyst and gelation catalyst. Rigid polyurethane foam is obtained by hardening said composition. Method of producing a foam composition involves preparing a polyol composition by combining an amine-initiated polyol and an additional polyol and combining the polyol composition with a polyisocyanate, a foaming agent, a trimerisation catalyst, a foaming catalyst and a gelation catalyst.

EFFECT: technical result is improved, faster curing compared to other foam compositions, reduced amount of gelation catalyst with respect to foaming catalyst, reduced time of obtaining rigid polyurethane foams.
