FIELD: navigation.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of navigation instrument making and can be used in the main ship magnetic compasses (MC). Claimed method consists in the following. Signals from the magnetic course sensor (MCS) and the micromechanical angular velocity sensor (MMS) are transmitted to the amplifiers with coefficients K1=1 and K2=T, and sum of these signals is then passed through aperiodic link with time constant T. Signals from MCS and MMS are also transmitted to amplifiers with coefficients K3=1 and K4=TI, and sum of these signals is passed through aperiodic link with time constant TI. Selection of MC current course angle from output of aperiodic link or is performed on the basis of information about the roll period received by shipboard electronic inclinometer. Obtained magnetic heading value is then transmitted to the remote indicator.

EFFECT: higher accuracy of MC measurement in the whole rolling range of the vessel.
