FIELD: fire-proof coating.

SUBSTANCE: disclosed is a fire-retardant paint coat for fire-protection of bearing structures. Fire-retardant intumescent paint contains melamine as a foaming agent, aluminum hydroxide as a fire retardant, potassium hydroxide as a coagulation inhibitor, aerosil as a viscosity regulator of the composition and a non-ionic surfactant, and as a binder – liquid potassium glass.

EFFECT: composition is single-component, provides a thin-layer coating which improves fire resistance of the material, and is characterized by manufacturability and application, absence of harmful chemical compounds during prolonged heating and preservation of properties during storage during the warranty period.
