FIELD: oil, gas and coke-chemical industries.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to oil and gas industry, in particular, to window cutting in casing for formation of offshoot. Section of window cutting includes tubular section of casing string, which contains inner surface and external surface. At least peripheral part of inner surface comprises multiple internal axial grooves extending further in axial direction than in circumferential direction. When implementing the window cutting method, the window cutting sections are placed in the casing string. Section comprises, in essence, a tubular section of the casing string, comprising an inner surface and an outer surface, in which at least a peripheral portion of the inner surface comprises a plurality of axial inner grooves extending further in the axial direction than in the circumferential direction, window is cut through at least a portion of said opening section in casing string using cutting tool.
EFFECT: reduced number of trunks during milling, prevents transverse displacement of cutting tool and/or eliminated need for preliminary orientation section of window cutting in casing string to achieve desired window cutting.
