SUBSTANCE: invention relates to wireless communication. Invention discloses systems, methods, devices for transmitting a modified intermittent random access channel (RACH), for example, RACH channel with extended coverage (EC-RACH). One method comprises transmitting, by a mobile station associated with a network, a two-slot hybrid random access channel containing a long packet, after which one access packet is transmitted, or containing one packet of access, after which one long packet is transmitted. Two consecutive time intervals may be used to transmit the random access channel.

EFFECT: technical result is reduction of consumed energy, prolongation of battery service life.
