FIELD: biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to biotechnology. Disclosed is a membrane for removing viruses from a protein-containing solution and a method of producing said membrane. Membrane contains cellulose, a primary surface and a secondary surface. Membrane has a value obtained by dividing the standard deviation of the spectrum area of variation in brightness by the average value of the area of the spectrum of variation in brightness, from 0.01 to 0.30, where brightness is measured for membrane cross-section after containing solution having gold of 30 nm colloid of solution passed through primary surface into membrane with possibility of membrane to capture colloids of gold for measurement of brightness. Thickness of the zone where gold colloids having diameter of 30 nm to 40 nm is captured in the wet cross-section of the membrane ranges from 17.0 mcm to 20.0 mcm. Method includes a step for aging and formation of a membrane.
EFFECT: invention ensures low difference in ability of filtration between products and high safety.
