SELF-EXPANDING STENT DELIVERY SYSTEM Russian patent published in 2020 - IPC A61F2/966 A61F2/95 A61F2/91 A61F2/915

Abstract RU 2719020 C2

FIELD: medical equipment.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a self-expanding stent delivery system which enables to repeatedly compress a stent into a delivery catheter, while allowing the stent to vary lengths if necessary and to rotate inside the delivery catheter. Self-expanding stent delivery system comprises an internal element, an external element, a pusher, a slider, a body assembled on the pusher, and a spring element located in the body. Internal element is arranged coaxially with outer element. Internal element and the external element include the distal and proximal ends. Pusher is located on the proximal end of the internal element and is connected to the internal element. Slider is arranged coaxially with the internal element and is located inside and in contact with the internal diameter of the stent. Slider has engaging element made with possibility of coupling and fixation with corresponding engaging elements on self-expanding stent. Before its placement, the stent is compressed in the inner diameter of the external element. After partial placement, the stent can be re-compressed by the outer shell and the body displacing in the proximal direction to compress the spring element to hold the inner member with tension. During placement of the stent, the slider can rotate about the internal element and move longitudinally along it, allowing the stent to move distally or to rotate in the external element as the external element is retracted to accommodate the stent. According to the second embodiment, the self-expanding stent delivery system also comprises a second outer element outside and coaxially with the first outer member, wherein the second outer member and the housing move together or remain fixed together.

EFFECT: inventions provide the possibility of re-capturing a stent after the beginning of placing a stent, if the stent is placed in an incorrect or suboptimal position, wherein the stent can be re-captured and re-arranged or re-captured and removed.
