SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine and microbiology. Disclosed is a method of assessing the morphological structure of biofilms of microorganisms by creating a microbial biofilm, in which the biofilm is formed under a slide, located at angle of 30° in a petri dish, stained by any of the available methods and visualizing the biofilm structure using a video eyepiece DCM 310 (China), subjected to morphometric analysis in Scope Photo x86, 3.1.312 (USA) to assess the morphological features of the structure of the biofilm of microorganisms and to measure the dimensions of its individual structural components, with subsequent preservation of the result on an electronic carrier in the jpg file format.

EFFECT: invention provides higher information value of the method, possibility of studying structural features of films with different methods of their staining and biofilm-forming ability of virtually all known microorganisms.
