METHOD FOR PREDICTION OF CORONARY ARTERY BYPASS SURGERY OUTCOMES Russian patent published in 2020 - IPC A61B5/00 A61B17/00 C12Q1/28 G01N33/573 G01N33/68

Abstract RU 2719914 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to cardiosurgery, and can be used for prediction of coronary artery bypass surgery (CABG) outcomes. Active myeloperoxidase concentration in the blood plasma is evaluated intraoperatively immediately after the shunt application. Value P is calculated by formula P=e-4.8498+0.0046×MPO×100 %, where MPO is concentration of active myeloperoxidase, ng/ml; e is base of natural logarithm. If P is more than 1.2 %, the unfavorable outcome of CABG is predicted.

EFFECT: method enables intraoperative prediction of CABG outcomes by intraoperative determination of active MPO concentration, which is a mark of ischemically-reperfusion myocardial changes in CABG operations, that enables timely correcting the surgical approach to treatment before observing the obvious signs of low cardiac output syndrome.
