FIELD: manufacturing technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to layered articles, where epoxy-organosilicon resin is used as an impregnating binder, and aramid fabric is used as filler, and methods of their production are used. Polymer structural material contains epoxy binder consisting of 71.4 weight fractions of epoxy-organosilicon resin and 28.6 weight fractions of polyamine curing agent. Aramid fabric is impregnated with binder at the following weight ratio of binder and fabric per 100 wt% Organit K: epoxy-organosilicon binder 35–40 wt%, aramid fabric 65–60 wt%. Invention also relates to a method of producing a polymer structural material, which includes pre-treatment of the surface of the mold with a solution of siloxane rubber for technical use in toluene, then applying epoxy-organosilicon-based epoxide binder onto the fabric layers and assembling the stack of the required number of fabric layers, alternating the impregnated layer with the non-impregnated, then layers are formed in hydraulic press at temperature of 23 °C, at least 24 hours and specific pressure of 50–60 kgf/cm2, then at temperature of 75 °C for at least 3 hours and specific pressure of 15–20 kgf/cm2.
EFFECT: technical result consists in selection and ratio of initial materials, optimization of molding process modes, increasing armor and heat protection characteristics, this allows to solve the task of development of heat-insulating material, having simultaneously armor protective properties and low weight.
