SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to rheumatology and cardiology, and can be used in expert centers of pulmonary hypertension for diagnosing left ventricular pulmonary hypertension (LV-PH). During the right heart catheterisation with the Swan-Ganz catheter, the pressure of the pulmonary artery wedging is measured in a prone position on the back. Legs are lifted in prone position by 45° and measured again 10 minutes later. Pressure of jamming is compared before and after feet lifting. Left ventricular pulmonary hypertension is diagnosed if pulmonary artery jam pressure increases by 4 mm Hg and more.

EFFECT: method enables detecting LV-PH during cardiac catheterisation of the right heart, without using tests which are potentially life-threatening.
