FIELD: medicine; X-ray endovascular surgery.
SUBSTANCE: according to the obtained angiopulmonography images, occluded arteries and segmental branches are detected, the blood flow in which is estimated in accordance with the calculation of the PEPSI index from 0 to 3 points. Additionally, the said occluded arteries and segmental branches are assigned coefficients from 3 to 0 in the following order: occluded segmental branches of the pulmonary artery rated at 0 points, are assigned a coefficient of 3; occluded segmental branches of the pulmonary artery rated at 1 point, are assigned a coefficient of 2; occluded segmental branches of the pulmonary artery rated at 2 points, are assigned a coefficient of 1; occluded segmental branches of the pulmonary artery rated at 3 points, are assigned a coefficient of 0. The perfusion deficit index is calculated by counting the occluded segmental branches of the pulmonary artery, matching the estimated scores in accordance with the calculation of the PEPSI index. Each total result obtained is multiplied by the assigned coefficient corresponding to each assessed score. The results are multiplied are then summarized. With the obtained value of the perfusion deficit index equal to 30 or more, a decrease in pressure in the pulmonary artery of 50% or more is predicted, which indicates the effectiveness of balloon angioplasty.
EFFECT: method allows to increase the information content of the method of selecting patients with chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension and the effectiveness of balloon angioplasty of pulmonary artery branches by reducing pressure in the pulmonary artery.
