SUBSTANCE: invention relates to beverage preparation devices for domestic or industrial use. Disclosed is device (1) for preparation and dispensing of beverage (2), comprising: main body (10) comprising unit (11) for preparation of beverage (2), discharged through outlet channel (21) into external container (3) of user in place (30) of location of user capacity; beverage dispensing head (20), which includes output channel (21) and which is movable relative to main body (10) into main body (10) in retracted position of head and outward from main body (10) into extended position of head; and control unit (16) for control of preparation unit (11) in order to supply beverage (2) to outlet channel (21). Control unit (16) is configured to: retain or leave beverage dispensing head (20) in its retracted position, when beverage preparation unit (11) is not involved in liquid treatment; and/or movement of beverage dispensing head (20) into its extended position or retaining or leaving it in that position only, when control unit (16) activates preparation unit (11) in order to process liquid for dispensing via outlet channel (21).

EFFECT: technical result is considerable compactness of device for preparation of beverages, as well as improved convenience of its use.
