FIELD: manufacturing technology; packaging and storage.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a method and a device for making a preform with geometry (9, 14) which is optimal for subsequent blowing under the neck. Geometry provides smaller wall thickness than thickness of the neck itself. Preform is made in forming tool for pressure casting, when channels are used in this place, and during thin-die casting process thin sections forming bridges are created on preform. Preform with thin-walled zone under neck has advantage in following blowing process, that better plastic material distributed in bottle can lead to significant material saving in high-quality bottles.
EFFECT: technical result achieved by using group of inventions is to create in the neck area under the transport ring a smaller wall thickness than in the thread area, to avoid formation of recesses in zone under transport ring due to exclusion of premature vitrification of these thin zones.
