METHOD OF TREATMENT OF LOWER EYELID EVERSION AFTER AESTHETIC BLEPHAROPLASTY Russian patent published in 2023 - IPC A61N5/67

SUBSTANCE: method of treatment of lower eyelid eversion after blepharoplasty, including treatment of the lower eyelid area with laser radiation. 3–5 weeks after blepharoplasty, an erbium laser with spatially modulated ablation is used in scanning mode with radiation parameters of 2,936 nm, pulse repetition rate of 1–2 Hz, pulse duration of 0.1 ms, energy density of 2–3 J/cm². The diameter of the microablation zone is 50 µm, the distance between the zones is the same and equals to 50 µm, the coating density is 10 thousand microzones/cm², the diameter of the light spot is 5 mm. The treatment is carried out from the ciliary edge to the border of the skin "eyelid-cheek" in one pass, two procedures are performed with an interval of 1 month between them.

EFFECT: method makes it possible to completely correct the developed complication without the risk of recurrence, prevent the formation of persistent aesthetic defects and functional ophthalmic disorders requiring repeated surgical intervention, reduce the duration of the rehabilitation period, increase patient satisfaction with the final result of the operation performed and the patient's quality of life, leveling the psychological stress and social maladjustment associated with the resulting complication, is characterized by easy technical execution and a favorable safety profile.
