FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to radionuclide diagnostics, and can be used for prediction of response to cardiac resynchronizing therapy in patients with chronic cardiac failure. A myocardial scintigraphy with 123I-metaiodobenzylguanidine is performed, according to which a delayed heart/mediastinum index is determined. Additionally, equilibrium radionuclide tomoventriculography is performed, the results of which are used to determine the value of interventricular dyssynchrony. Prognostic probability of response to cardiac resynchronization therapy is determined by formula: P=1/(1+e-(-5.23+2.3*dH/M+0.048*IVD)), where P – prognostic probability, e – base of natural logarithm (mathematical constant), dH/M – deferred heart/mediastinum index, IVD – interventricular dyssynchrony. If P is more than 0.5, a positive response to cardiac resynchronization therapy is predicted.
EFFECT: method enables providing more accurate prediction of a positive response to a cardiac resynchronizing therapy and thereby improving the clinical effectiveness in the patients suffering chronic cardiac failure by determining a prognostic probability of the response to a cardiac resynchronization therapy.
