FIELD: medicine; cardiology.

SUBSTANCE: transthoracic echocardiography is performed and the left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) according to Simpson in %, left ventricular end-systolic volume (LVESV), left atrial volume (LAV), pulmonary artery systolic pressure (PASP) are determined; electrocardiography is performed to determine the duration of the QRS complex; plasma concentration of NTproBNP is measured and the glomerular filtration rate (GFR) is calculated from the creatinine level using the CKD-EPI formula and, based on the obtained values, the predicted value (P) is calculated using the logistic regression formula. At value P≥0.547 a positive response to cardiac contractility modulation therapy is predicted.

EFFECT: method allows to increase the accuracy of predicting a positive response to cardiac contractility modulation (MCM) therapy at the stage of preoperative preparation of patients with chronic heart failure with reduced left ventricular ejection fraction and atrial fibrillation.
