METHOD FOR PREDICTING THE EFFECTIVENESS OF PACING RESYNCHRONIZATION THERAPY IN PATIENTS WITH DILATED CARDIOMYOPATHY IN THE EARLY POSTOPERATIVE PERIOD Russian patent published in 2023 - IPC A61B8/08

Abstract RU 2801127 C2

FIELD: medicine; cardiac surgery.

SUBSTANCE: before pacing resynchronization therapy, individual patient indicators are examined: the relative change in the Gibson index from diastole to systole (ΔIG), relative change in the taper index from diastole to systole (ΔCI), temporal heterogeneity index (EA KB), end-diastolic taper index (EC EC), spatial heterogeneity index (ECF CV), interventricular septal thickness (end-diastole) (IVS CA), end-systolic size (ESD), area of the right atrium (LPP), end-diastolic size (EDD), posterior wall thickness (end-diastole) (PSLV AP), posterior wall thickness (end-systole) (PSLV KS), stroke volume (SV), right atrial width (RAP), end-systolic volume (ESV). Then the obtained values are substituted into the discriminant function. If the function value is less than or equal to zero, the pacing resynchronization therapy procedure is predicted to be effective for the patient in the early postoperative period, and if the discriminant function value is greater than zero, the pacing resynchronization therapy procedure is predicted to be ineffective.

EFFECT: method allows with high degree of accuracy to determine the groups of patients with dilated cardiomyopathy with low and high prognosis of the effectiveness of CRT, which will help to decrease the number of ineffective CRT.
