SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to diagnostics in cardiovascular surgery. Myocardial scintigraphy with 123I-metaiodbenzylguanidine is performed, according to the results of which the delayed heart/mediastinum index and the rate of 123I-MIBG washout are determined. Echocardiography (EchoCG) is performed, according to which the diameter of the left atrium is determined. Then the predictive probability of developing late recurrence of atrial fibrillation after the primary procedure of endocardial radiofrequency ablation (R) is determined according to the original formula. With a R value of more than 0.5, a high likelihood of developing late recurrence of atrial fibrillation after the primary procedure of endocardial radiofrequency ablation is predicted, and on the basis of this, a decision is made about the inappropriateness of this intervention.

EFFECT: method allows at the preoperative stage to predict the risk of atrial fibrillation recurrence after the radiofrequency ablation procedure and, in accordance with the assessed risk, to select the further necessary treatment tactics.
