FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to orthopaedic dentistry, and is intended for use in determining position of upper jaw model. What is used is an occlusal fork made of photopolymer material and representing a horseshoe-shaped plate with perforations to hold the impression material. Occlusal fork has handle, on which bubble level 3 is located, which is installed on handle before polymerisation process. Besides, a table for an articulator is used, which consists of a cover and three legs adjustable by the thread pitch in height. Legs are located in the plate, which is fixed to the table cover by means of a screw and a nut. Patient is in a standing position. Impression material - an occlusion recorder - is applied on the occlusal fork, an impression of the upper dental arch is recorded, wherein the occlusal fork is positioned in the oral cavity so that the air bubble in the bubble level is in the middle position. Articulator, in which a gypsum model of the upper jaw is installed by means of a face arc, is placed on a table with adjustable legs. Occlusal fork is fixed on plaster model of upper jaw. Table legs are adjusted in height until bubble of air in bubble level does not occupy median position. Spatial transfer of position of upper jaw is carried out by changing position of articulator itself, in which a supine jaw model is installed.
EFFECT: method enables accurate transfer of upper jaw position in a horizontal plane, rapid diagnostics of spatial position of upper jaw in horizontal plane, reduced time, improved quality of orthopaedic structures.
