FIELD: aerosol generating products.

SUBSTANCE: aerosol-generating article (2) containing: combustible carbon-containing heat source (4); aerosol-forming substrate (10); and a heat indicator provided on the outer surface of the aerosol-generating article downstream of the combustible carbon-containing heat source. Thermal indicator comprises at least one reversible thermochromatic material which performs the first reversible visible colour change with rise of the temperature indicator temperature to the first change temperature and the second reversible visible colour change as the temperature indicator temperature drops to the second variation temperature. First change temperature is less than approximately 80 °C, and second variation temperature is less than or equal to first change temperature.

EFFECT: disclosed is an aerosol-generating article having a thermal indicator.
