SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the tobacco industry, namely to an aerosol-generating article and to a method for manufacturing an aerosol-generating article. Aerosol-generating article comprises a heat source, an aerosol-forming substrate in heat contact with the heat source, and a heat-conducting component placed around at least part of the aerosol-forming substrate. The heat-conducting component comprises an outer surface constituting at least part of the outer surface of the aerosol-generating article. At least part of the outer surface of the heat-conducting component comprises a surface treatment and exhibits an emittance coefficient of less than 0.6.
EFFECT: improved control of heating of the substrate due to the temperature being maintained within the desired range.
