FIELD: data storage and processing.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to distributed systems for storage and processing of sheet data carriers. System for storage and processing of sheet data carriers comprises storage devices of sheet data carriers connected by an information exchange channel with at least one remote computer, wherein each storage device is made in the form of separate unified modules configured to store, automated processing and movement of sheet data carriers between separate unified modules, and the remote computer is configured to access sheet data media by initializing commands of the storage device to perform operations with sheet media and providing information on them.
EFFECT: technical result consists in optimization of time for unloading data carriers and rational use of storage modules.
