FIELD: measuring equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention is intended for measurement of liquid level. Essence: ultrasonic acoustoimpedance liquid level meter comprises a vertically oriented waveguide sensitive element, a coupling waveguide and an electroacoustic transducer. Electric circuit includes a pulse generator, an amplifier, a microprocessor and an indicator. Meter additionally includes series-connected second sensing element made in form of ring, communication waveguide, electroacoustic transducer, as well as second amplifier and pulse generator connected to microprocessor. Second sensitive element is placed in the lower part of the vertically oriented waveguide sensitive element. Principle of operation is based on determination of ultrasound attenuation in waveguide when immersed in liquid.

EFFECT: reduced error of measurement of liquid level with change of its physical properties.
