FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to microwave equipment and can be used in development of high-power microwave radiation generators for radar ranging, navigation and particle accelerators. Klystron comprises system of leading magnetic field solenoids symmetrically surrounding klystron located along axis, anode and cathode connected to high-voltage source, resonator structure consisting of input at least one intermediate and one outlet hollow resonators, each of which has working gap. Output resonator is combined in form of connected sections of coaxial and radial transmitting lines matched to each other at connection point, wherein coaxial line with working gap actively participating in energy transfer from electron beam to super-high frequency field is located inside system of solenoids of driving magnetic field, and the rest, passive, part of the output resonator in the form of a section of the radial line is brought outside the system of solenoids of the driving magnetic field and is connected through a communication slot in the outer shell to the waveguide radiation output.
EFFECT: reduced mass and dimension parameters of klystron and, as a result, reduced energy consumption by solenoids of klystron leading magnetic field.
