FIELD: welding.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in fabrication of reinforcement mesh by contact spot welding. Upper and lower parts of electrode are connected by end surfaces. On the end surface of the upper part there are H odd closed transverse grooves separated by H-1 partitions, on the edges of which there arranged are opposite openings with possibility of circulation of the coolant with change of its flow direction. Edge of the first groove is open to the window for supply of coolant, and edge of the last groove is opened to the window for output of heated coolant beyond the limits of the electrode. On the end surface of the upper part of the electrode there is a peripheral annular groove for the sealing element sealing the coolant circulation zone. Sealing element is arranged in reduction of longitudinal channel.
EFFECT: electrode has increased cooled surface that provides its high resistance.
