FIELD: welding.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in fabrication of reinforcement mesh by contact spot welding. Working part of electrode has conical surface on its upper end. Upper part of the electrode has an axial cavity and has a widening, from the lower end of which there is a conical cavity with a bottom. Upper and lower parts of the electrode are connected by means of a bolt with contact of their conical surfaces and formation of an axial gap, in which a threaded socket is made. Bolt is installed in the above axial cavity of the upper part of the electrode with arrangement of the front part of the bolt in the above threaded seat and support of the bolt head into the end face of the shank. On the side surface of the axial cavity of the upper part of the electrode there is an annular groove for the sealing element enveloping the bolt with interference. In peripheral part of widening there are diametrically arranged openings, which are open to axial gap of electrode, one of which is intended for supply of coolant, and another is intended for removal of heated coolant.
EFFECT: electrode has larger area of cooled surface, which provides its higher durability.
