SUBSTANCE: invention refers to pharmaceutical industry. Disclosed is a method of producing a composition for inhibiting activity β-glucuronidase, according to which a phosphate buffer solution of a copolymer of vinyl pyrrolidone and vinyl amine (containing 90 mol. % vinyl pyrrolidone units and 10 mol. % vinyl amine units) with concentration thereof in solution of 10–12 wt. %, preparing a phosphate buffer solution of mixture of 1,4- and 3,6-lactones of D-sugar acid with ratio of 40–60/60–40 wt. % with concentration in solution of 21.5–24.0 wt. %, then obtained solutions are mixed, then combined solution is treated with 25 % sodium hydroxide solution to pH equal to 4.8–4.9, at 20–25 °C and lyophilic drying said solution.

EFFECT: invention provides higher inhibition efficiency β-glucuronidase with prolonged action of obtained composition.
