FIELD: measuring equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to measurement equipment and can be used in automatic measurement, control and emergency protection systems, which include thermocouple-based temperature meters. Disclosed is a method of diagnosing temperature measurement circuits includes heating thermocouples with subsequent measurement of temperatures and analyzing temperature measurement results. At that, heating of cold junctions of thermocouples is performed, and analysis is performed by comparison of temperatures of cold junction and temperatures of measured medium before and after heating, at that serviceability of temperature measurement circuits is detected by value of increment of cold junction temperature ΔTCJ and stability of temperature of measured medium.

EFFECT: simplified diagnostic scheme and continuous monitoring of temperature during diagnostics.
