FIELD: beekeeping.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to beekeeping and can be used on individual and collective apiaries. Method of controlling wintering bee collection, represented by an ellipsoid with semi-axes a, c, b, is carried out based on the results of measuring the temperature distribution in the plane of the median cross-section along the semi-axes a and c and the known number of bee frames sat by bees, which determines the semi-axis b. Method involves measuring temperature distribution in range of 6–40 °C in vertical plane in middle of section of wintering bees accumulation, determination of sizes of semi-axes a and c using detachable temperature adapter with matrix of temperature sensors 8 × 4 installed in seam between frames. Temperature is also calculated within cell size by interpolation in all three coordinates x, y, z. Volume of the cluster wintering bees V depends on external influences of external temperature tg and the number of bees in the cluster and is calculated from the expression V(tg)cm3 = b1tg2 + b2tg + b0, obtained as a result of regression analysis, determined by parametrization based on experimental data, based on knowledge of the accumulation volume of wintering bees and temperature distribution in the central flat section of the visual image of the wintering bee collection volume on the video monitor screen in form of an ellipsoid in the beehive space.

EFFECT: invention enables to obtain volumetric temperature distribution information corresponding to the accumulation of wintering bees, which in turn provides sufficient accuracy to control the accumulation of wintering bees.
