FIELD: transportation.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for adjusting a position of a switch and a functional device for a vehicle. Method of adjusting the position of the switch consists in switching the mode of movement of the vehicle between an automatic driving mode in which the movement of the vehicle is controlled automatically and a manual driving mode in which the movement of the vehicle is controlled by the driver. Mode switch position is adjusted according to the driver's seat state by receiving the driver's seat instruction from the driver when the driving mode is an automatic driving mode and adjusting the mode switch position according to the instruction.
EFFECT: increased safety during operation.
