FIELD: transport machinery.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to vehicle seat capable of preventing decrease in effectiveness of a rear-seat occupant with a rear-seat airbag. Seat comprises a driving part capable of changing the position of the seat, airbag of rear seat, which is attached to the seat and opens between the seat back and the space of the face sitting in the back seat behind, and a control portion adapted to change the position of the seat by the driving portion and to adjust the opening area of the rear seat airbag, when vehicle collision is predicted. Seat also contains a determination section that determines the presence of the person sitting on the seat. Wherein, control portion is configured to start changing the position of the seat by means of the driving portion earlier, when presence of said person is not determined by the first detection site than when the presence of said person is determined by the first detection site.
EFFECT: increase in safety is achieved.
