FIELD: agriculture; forestry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to agriculture and forestry, in particular, to manual tools for laying samples of fabric or photographic paper, both in loose and dense soil, for determining biological activity of soil during scientific research. Device consists of cylindrical handle 1 fixed with screw 3 in metal shank 2, changing into a stiffness rib and pressure projection 5 for a leg, two rectangular plates with cutting edges at the end and analyzed sample 13 located between them. Plates are made with possibility of fixation and rotation with disconnection relative to each other. For this purpose, on the main strip rigidly fixed from below on the plate there is a support pin, an upper retainer and two slots, and on the detachable strip there is turning ledge 14 and two retainers with a hinged trigger bow 15 with a grip and horizontal handle 16.

EFFECT: device makes it possible to fill samples of fabric or photographic paper in soil, both in loose, and in dense, one reception, reducing labor intensity of operation and reducing time, which is necessary for investigators for placement in soil of samples.
